April 2016 Fly-in Breakfast

Life on a Wildlife Estate

Landing your aircraft on a wildlife estate just after sunrise where a red carpet and freshly brewed coffee awaits you…sounds too good to be true?

This is exactly the scene that awaited a few pilots that were invited to Lekwena Wildlife Estate for a game drive and breakfast.

Lekwena Wildlife Estate is situated 11km outside of Potchefstroom – the perfect location for commuters from Gauteng that want to enjoy a high quality lifestyle as well as for Potchefstromers looking for their own piece of African Bushveld – while still being close to the amenities of Potchefstroom.

The pilots flew in for a landing on the Lekwena Runway and enjoyed the beautiful scenery over a cup of good coffee. Thereafter the Lekwena game drive vehicles took them via the 4×4 route to Afsaal – one of the designated and equipped boma and braai areas for the use of owners on the estate. Afsaal overlooks a large part of the estate and the guests enjoyed a leisurely breakfast with a view.

After breakfast a game drive through the estate ended the perfect morning of flying, coffee, breakfast and game viewing.
